Time Flies...

Yup, when you just stop for awhile and take a look back, you can see that time sure flies... Though if you look back too often, then the 'magic' kinda goes away (or 'doesn't work' might be more fitting). I used to look back a lot. But now, being busy almost all the time, I haven't had the chance to look back for a long time, and it really surprises me how much time has passed. Time flies...

Aaanyway, it's the fasting month, and I'm really looking forward to the coming holidays (where we get a few days off and get to go home). I may sound like a broken record, but I miss my girl.

Haven't been doing much drawing or painting lately. Same excuse as always, "I've been very busy", "I stuck on ideas" and all that, but that's just what they are, excuses. The real reason is plain and simple, I just don't have the kind of commitment like most of the people here. To be good at anything, you have to have the right amount of commitment, and that's why I'm not so much of an artist as much as someone who likes to draw stuff now and then. Don't get me wrong, I have passion, just not the commitment. And I'm not trying to feel sorry for myself or beat myself up for it, I'm fine with it. I'm weak with colors, my lines are messy. Sometimes I try hard, and sometimes I just don't care. And it's not something like "I can do better, I just didn't feel like trying on this one". How do I know I can do better if the drawing is done and finished? Even if you could copy the same idea, subject and pose from your previous drawing and make it better, but the fact is that it isn't the same drawing. You've finished the old one and now you're making a new one. But I'm just rambling on and on and on here... Heh...

Well, till next time I decide to ramble on...

Heheh, remembered something from a movie. How many of you remember Mel Gibson's performance in Braveheart?

Aaanyway, just finished and handed-in my log book, my practical 'manual' and the daily diary. Ah, feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest... I'm sure many of you know this feeling all to well... Mheheheh... Next stop; the Dreaded Exams!!! (Though I must confess I am kinda looking forward to it, since after the exam we get a month off!! Whoohooo!!).

I'm still practicing my hand on digital painting or digital works that're 100% made using a PC (I know, I know, I do this when I should really be studying for my exams instead... So sue me..). I can't say I've gotten better at it, but I haven't given up just yet. Current project is a digital potrait-slash-vector-like-drawing of my girl. I'll post the WIP soon...

Until then,

Something To Sink My Teeth Into...

Ignore the title, just some of my mindless ramblings, I suppose. Heh, speaking of teeth, I just had one of my tooth removed recently. It was killing me, so I had it removed. Now I can enjoy food better, thank you very much (I sound like one of those infomercials, don't I?).

Anyway, I must say that I've been doing great, lately... With work and other things. But my art is sorta stuck... It's going nowhere for the moment. Been rather busy with assignments (Drug Screening Tests Done In Medical Labs, Importance Of Medical Entomology and Cholera. I got all the 'good' subjects for my reports. Damn!). But thankfully, I've finished one of them. Also been trying to digital paint, though without much luck, but I've managed to keep my mood up and keep trying. Heh, hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon.

Ah, finished 3 drawings for "Tribute To Gaza", an event organized by my friend in UiTM. If you have some free time, go check it out. It's being held at UiTM Shah Alam, I think. Well, I tried to do something with a 'serious' theme (the kind of theme that I rarely do), so I don't quite know how to explain it.

Can't wait for the next semester break. Another 1 and a half months to go, so I'm holding up pretty well, I guess...

That's it for this update, I'll keep you posted...

Ah... Today is certainly a better day than yesterday. I drew blood from over 20 patients today. I'm still a bit uncomfortable, but at least I'm feeling a lot more confident.

Thanks to the guys who supported me. Mheheheh...

Next week, it's back to Biochemistry Lab. So that means I just have to endure 2 more days of poking people with needles. Ah... 12 patients to go...

I think that's it for today. Sin, signing off...
